Pay a visit to the European Radio Show in 2019

It’s become a tradition: at each new edition of the European Radio Show we pay tribute to a country and its professionals. After Quebec (2014), Switzerland (2015), Belgium (2016), the UK (2017), and Norway and the Scandinavian countries in 2018, Iberian countries will be the featured countries of the only event celebrating all of the different radio professions. The show confirmed its opening up to Europe and to non-French-speaking visitors with an increase of 30% in the number of visitors from abroad in 2018.

So when is the next Salon de la Radio? Make a note of the dates now: 24, 25& 26 January 2019 ! This 2019 edition will take place over three days in a location that is emblematic of Paris, a place that is a listed historic building, the Grande Halle de la Villette, which has already hosted the event previously.
5,800 media professionals came in 2017, and 6,785 in 2018, to discover what new products were on display, to absorb and take inspiration from the knowledge imparted by the 230 or so speakers, to meet up (each year the event provides a unique meeting place for all of the trade union and employers’ organisations), to contemplate the radio of tomorrow and naturally to attend exclusive presentations, to meet one another and to gain insights into the latest industry trends.
More than 120 exhibitors showcased their products and services over the three days of the
2018 event (exceptionally including one evening), at the very Haussmann-style Grande ;Halle de la Villette. Below its 13-metre high gables, the exhibitors UER, CSA, UNESCO, RFE, XPeri, BCE, Deezer, DB Broadcast, LAWO, IP-Studio, Sophia, Multicam, Axel Technologies, Netia, towerCast, David Systems, TDF, Sacem, RCS, Nagra, Wise Buddah, Tune Republic, Digigram, WorldDAB,…) spread across two circular areas and more than 4,000 m², answered questions from visitors from the four corners of France and Europe, and promoted their goods and services.


Over the course of a decade or so the European Radio Show (which has continued to maintain a free-entry policy), has established itself as the only annual event entirely dedicated to the radio industry for both technicians and decision-makers. Still taking place in the most beautiful city in the world, the event was held in some very prestigious locations (Porte de Versailles, Tapis Rouge, then Centre Etoile Saint-Honoré) before taking up residence at the Grande Halle de la Villette.
Participating in the European Radio Show guarantees the opportunity to meet around 7,000 media professionals and executives from France but also from around 50 other countries. The European Radio Show, which takes place in what is always very much a family atmosphere, provides a unique opportunity to meet prospective clients, to make new contacts, and for enhanced networking. The original design and layout of the booths gives each exhibitor great visibility for promoting their products and services while dealing with a continuous uninterrupted flow of registered visitors.


Each year many exhibitors seize the opportunity offered by the European Radio Show to run workshops on popular topics linked to their products and services. On their stands and in the aisles of the show some stage original presentations to attract visitors’ attention. One of them is awarded the Grands PRIX RADIO for best product of the year, and another for best service of the year, in recognition of their efforts.
Year on year, participants’ rate of satisfaction is over 95%. It should be noted that Editions HF, the organizers of the European Radio Show, rely mainly on the Radio Crew, a team of around 50 people passionate about radio, who are dedicated to ensuring that the event runs smoothly. The team is managed by a technical director whose sole purpose is to ensure that your experience is a success!
In 2019, Editions HF hope to draw around 150 exhibitors.
